About Bharatham
- Bharatham is an initiative taken in 2006 by Smt. Jyothi and Shri. Manoj to impart knowledge in various art forms to the younger generation.
- The academy is a home of professionally trained instructors and it also promotes our students to boost self confidence, discipline and holistic well being.
- The classes here are designed to spread richness of Indian culture, both the traditional as well as the modern aspects, to all our students, regardless of cultural and economical background.
Achievements
- The Bharatham troupe of skilled performers has performed at various events, temples, dance and music festivals as well as TV shows.
- Eligible students appear in the examinations conducted by the Karnataka Secondary board every year and pass with flying colors.
- Annual celebrations are held to give opportunity for all the students to perform and get the experience of stage.
- Few students of Bharatham Academy have successfully completed their Rangapravesha under the guidance of Guru Smt. Jyothi Manoj which was highly appreciated.

ABOUT OUR GURU
About Guru Smt. Jyothi Manoj
- Guru Smt. Jyothi Manoj firmly believes that the aim of performing arts is not only the promotion of spirit, soul and senses, but also the opening of all human capacities - thought, feeling and will to the life rhythm of the world around us.
- She is a disciple of Guru Smt. Vani Rajagopal and Karnataka Kalashree Guru Smt. Minal Prabhu in Bharathanatyam and Guru Shrikantham Nagendra Shastry in Carnatic Vocal.
- She is a multi faceted personality who is a choreographer and a teacher of Bharathanatyam and Carnatic Vocal. As the founder and director of Bharatham Academy for Art and Culture she has been teaching dance and music for nearly two decades. She started her career at the age of seven. She did her graduation in Bharathanatyam and Carnatic Vocal from Sandesha College of Arts, Mangalore University and secured 1st rank. Holding a masters degree in Bharathanatyam from Bangalore University, she is also trained in Mridangam under the tutelage of Guru Shree Gururaj and secured 1st rank in Karnataka state level exam. She has given numerous performances in both dance and music and participated in various prestigious dance festivals.
- Being the artistic director of Bharatham, Smt. Jyothi has choreographed several dance features like Shiva Thandava, Mahishasura Mardhini, Krishna Rasa leela, shree Krishna Charitham, Mohini Bhasmasuram, Ganga and Ramayanam which have been highly appreciated. Her students have performed at several prestigious forums both individually and in group.
